Shyreeta Davis is a talented local hometown vocalist. She started performing in her church choir at a young age. As a young adult, she began performing professionally and has been the lead singer for numerous bands all across the Midwest, Florida, Memphis, Houston, and Atlanta, Georgia. She was the lead singer for several Bloomington bands, including her band Mellow Grooves.

 

She has entertained at signature events for organizations such as the Tri-County Urban League’s Gala, State Farm Park-A-Palooza, and the US Postal Service employee celebrations (Bloomington and Peoria branches).

Shyreeta has opened for celebrities Kenny Latimore, War, Bone Thugs & Harmony, and Regina Belle. Her professional journey led her to Atlanta, Georgia, where she expanded her career. She worked with several music industry talents in Atlanta. One project included providing background vocals for R&B legend Gary "Lil G" Jenkins of Silk.

Shyreeta has showcased her talent on national platforms, auditioning for The Voice and Star Search. She won the Make Me an Idol contest in Peoria. She was among thousands who participated in the Budweiser Superfest Jill Scott vocal contest and placed second.

Additionally, Shyreeta has recorded at Eclipse Studio and Pressure Point Studio in downtown Chicago. She has released several independent recordings, including the single “Focus On Me.” She is also a local DJ known as Alessi Re!

In addition to her love of music and singing, she has a passion for working with youth and is the founder of the Light Bright Foundation (www.litebright.org) and Daughters of Determination, a youth organization for young girls.
